Scrappers Announce 2009 Promotional Schedule

Niles, OH - The Mahoning Valley Scrappers have announced their promotional schedule for the 2009 season. It is highlighted by new weekly promotions focused on added value for the fans as well as fireworks, giveaways, and celebrity appearances.

"In designing our promotional schedule, our main focus was providing the community more value for less money with affordable options for each night of the week," stated Scrappers General Manager, Dave Smith. "We are surely aware of the current economic climate, and have put together what are clearly our most affordable options ever."

Daily promotions include:

Tuesdays: Two Dollar Tuesdays - General Admission tickets, hot dogs, and 16oz. soft drinks and beers all for just $2 each.

Wednesday: All-You-Can-Eat Wednesday - For only $12 in addition to your game ticket, fans will receive an All-You-Can-Eat picnic buffet consisting of hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, baked beans, pasta salad, and non-alcoholic beverages as well as a NEW limited edition Scrappers hat.

Thursdays: Buck Night presented by Middlefield Banking Company - General Admission tickets, hot dogs, and 12oz. soft drinks and beers all for just $1 each.

Fridays: Post-game fireworks after each home game.

Saturdays: Kids Eat Free presented by Pizza Hut - Every child in attendance (12 and under) will receive a coupon for a FREE slice of pizza, a bag of chips and a 12 oz. soft drink.

Sundays: Sunday Family Fun Day - Join us for great family related promotions including Kids Run the Bases and Catch on the Field after each Sunday game. For only $40, fans can purchase an Arby's Sunday Family Pack which includes 4 Box Seat tickets, 4 Perfect Game vouchers (hot dog, soft drink, and chips), 1 Souvenir Program, 1 Parking Pass, and 4 Arby's Combo Meals.

Scrappers Kids Club: Presented by Akron Children's Hospital - Available for kids 12 and under and includes a free General Admission ticket to all 38 Scrappers home games, a Scrappers T-Shirt, and a membership card that qualifies kids for special promotions at area businesses, all for just $15.00.

Nightly promotions are highlighted by a Youth Jersey Giveaway (June 20), Former WWE Superstar Sgt. Slaughter Appearance (July 18), Adult Hat Giveaway (July 19), and Scout Sleepover Night (August 14).

Individual tickets will go on sale at Scrappers Fan Fest this Saturday from 10:00AM-3:00PM at Eastwood Field or by calling 330-505-0000.
