[ PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz.]-In a game of inches, the Sundogs won 4-3 on Monday night. The win gave Arizona a 4-2 series victory and they will go on to face Laredo in the Southern Conference Finals.

The Scorpions got on the board first when Erik Johnson caused a turnover in the offensive zone. Johnson moved the puck to Mitch Stephens who scored his third goal of the playoffs.

Arizona came back 18 seconds later with a kind bounce. Steve Rymsha picked up a bouncing puck in front of the Scorpions net and was able to slide it in tying the game at one.

Early in the second period, Ross McCain found Kevin Harvey near the net with a clean pass. Harvey tipped it home for his third goal of the postseason at the 1:12 mark.

Once again, the Sundogs came back, this time with two straight goals. Kyle Hood jumped on a rebound and pushed it to the back of the net, tying the game 2-2. The Scorpions nearly scored to reclaim the lead, but the crossbar bit them twice. Immediately following the close call, Cory Urquhart took the puck down the ice for Arizona and was able to beat goaltender Mike Minard, giving Arizona their first lead of the game.

The Scorpions showed they were not down in the third period. While shorthanded Chris Robertson's shot was saved by goalie Rob McVicar, but Ray Ortiz was on the doorstep, tying the game with a rebound goal.
