
Scorpions Host Playoff Games Friday and Saturday Night

[ RIO RANCHO, N.M.]-In their first year back to the ice, the New Mexico Scorpions are heading to the playoffs. The Southwest Division champions will start the post-season against their long time rivals, the Amarillo Gorillas starting Friday, March 30.
By winning the division, the Scorpions earned themselves the second seed in the Southern Conference and the right to home ice advantage against every team in the Southern Conference except Laredo.
The Scorpions will begin their quest for the Ray Miron Cup, awarded to the champion of the Central Hockey League, with two exciting weekend home playoff games. New Mexico will host games one and two on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31. The series will shift to Amarillo the following week before returning to the Santa Ana Star Center on Monday, April 9 and Tuesday, April 10 if necessary. Please note all home games during the playoffs will start at 7:05 p.m.
All fans are encouraged to call the Scorpions office at (505) 881-PUCK [7825] on Monday to reserve their playoff packages for the upcoming series. In addition, single game tickets for the first round will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Monday. The Scorpions office is open daily from 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Single game tickets can be bought online through www.GetTix.net, by calling 866-I-GET-TIX. Fans can also buy tickets in person at the Santa Ana Star Center Box Office, the Santa Ana Star Casino Promotions Center and Pack 'n' Mail, located at 4801 Montano Road NW in Albuquerque.
