
Laperriere Named CHL Oakley Player of the Week

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, today announced that veteran defenseman Dan Laperriere has been named as the CHL Oakley Player of the Week.
Laperriere tallied four goals, five assists and a plus-4 rating in three games last week helping the Sundogs to a 3-0 record to close out the 2006-07 CHL regular season.
In a 4-1 win against New Mexico on Tuesday, March 20, the 37-year-old collected an assist on Dmitri Leonov's empty net goal. In both Friday and Saturday nights' games against the Rocky Mountain Rage and Colorado Eagles, Laperriere notched four-point outings (2g/2a).
In 60 games with Arizona this season he collected 11 goals and 46 assists for 57 points, ranking him as the fifth highest scorer among defenseman in the CHL. An anchor on the Arizona power play this season, Laperriere garnered six of his 11 goals and 31 of his 46 assists with the man advantage.
