Sauk Valley Predators News Release
The Sauk Valley Predators are pleased to announce the signing of Justin Tubbs, a 6'3 guard from East Tennessee State University. Justin will be moving to the Chadwick, IL area very soon and will be hosted by Paul and Kathy Skoog, along with their sons Caleb and Levi.
"This is such an exciting time for us, our team is really coming together", stated Brad Grenoble, owner and GM of the Predators team. "With our new coach and new player coming next week, it's like Christmas coming early".
Tubbs is arguably the best pure athlete in the Atlantic Sun Conference, Justin possesses amazing leaping ability, is a lockdown defender with the ability to score and can shoot from beyond the arc even under defensive pressure.
He currently holds the record for most steals in a game in the CIT where he hit a personal best; seven "three-pointers" against University of Ohio. Justin also competed in the NCAA slam dunk contest last year and made an appearance on ESPN's "Top Ten" plays on Sports Center three times last season with spectacular dunks that grabbed the number one spot twice. Tubbs was drafted into the NBA's Developmental league.
Justin graduated with a degree in Accounting this past May. He is the son of Terry Parker and Sharon Dickerson.
The Sauk Valley Predators will start their 2012 season on Friday, January 6th at the Homer Musgrove Fieldhouse in Sterling, IL. Individual and season tickets can be purchased online at www.saukvalleypredators.com. You can also view the other Predator players and full schedule as well.
