
Sauk Valley Predators Sign Herman Favors

The Sauk Valley Predators announce a new player to their organization, Herman Favors. Favors was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia where he attended Pace Academy. He was the only player to have his #5 jersey retired. Herman was the named MVP for four straight seasons and ended his high school career with the All Time Leading Scorer award with 2,424 points. He was also named "AA player of the year" and ranked in the "Top 50 players in the country" in 2002.
Herman has played basketball overseas the last 5 years playing in Holland, Sweden, France, Al-Ahli and most recently in Finland. Last summer Herman was invited to the New York Knicks mini-camp which brought him one step closer to his dream of playing in the NBA.
"We could have never imagined that we would secure such a diverse roster of players". "These athletes come with incredible talent and from fantastic families", stated Brad and Leah Grenoble, owners of the Predators. "Our season is only a week away and the practices are going strong".
The Sauk Valley Predators will start their 2012 season on Friday, January 6th at the Homer Musgrove Fieldhouse in Sterling, IL. Individual and season tickets can be purchased online at www.saukvalleypredators.com. You can also view the other Predator players and full schedule as well.
The Predators are part of the Premier Basketball League's Central Division along with the following teams; Chicago Muscle, Northwest Indiana Stars, Central Illinois Drive, Indiana Diesels and the St. Louis Phoenix. The PBL's Eastern Division includes the Lake Michigan Admirals, Charleston Gunners, Scranton Wilkes-Barre Steamers, Dayton Air Strikers and the Rochester Razorbacks.
