The Sauk Valley Predators announce an additional assistant coach to their organization, Ryan Vasquez. Ryan was born and raised in Sterling, IL and is the head coach for Sterling Public School's sophomore basketball team. He is a graduate of Ashford University in Clinton, IA with a degree in Psychology.
Ryan has coached basketball at Sterling Public School for the past 5 seasons. His current team holds a 13-3 record. Ryan demands hard work from his players on and off the court. His favorite quote is "hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard".
Ryan is more than excited for this opportunity to help out the Sauk Valley Predators. He also looks forward to the experience that he will gain from Coach Keathley and the players. Ryan will continue his coaching duties at the high school and hopes that this opportunity will help bring in extra motivation for himself and his players on his current team.
"We are looking forward to watching Ryan grow with our organization and continue to focus on the athletes not only on our team, but in the community as well", stated Brad and Leah Grenoble, owners of the Predators. "Ryan immediately became interested in our team and was attending practices, so it worked out that he could become a part of our organization as well". "He definitely has the drive, enthusiasm and commitment that we are looking for on our coaching staff".
