San Jose SaberCats News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Apr. 7, 2008) - With no National Hockey League playoff game at HP Pavilion this Saturday, the San Jose SaberCats moved the start time for their Arena Football League contest with the undefeated Philadelphia Soul back to its original 7:30 p.m. (PT) kickoff, officials from the defending ArenaBowl champions announced.
The SaberCats last week moved the start time with the possibility of a NHL playoff game taking place at HP Pavilion on Saturday afternoon. But with the Sharks in Calgary this weekend and no conflict with start times, the AFL office encouraged the SaberCats to return the start to its original time.
"The Arena Football League is a family-oriented spectator sport and having our games start at 7:30 allow for the entire family to enjoy the complete SaberCats experience," said SaberCats vice president Hank Stern.
A premiere franchise in the Arena Football League, San Jose has won three ArenaBowl championships and captured seven Western Division titles, eight consecutive playoff appearances and owns the league's best regular season record this decade.
Season and group tickets for the 2008 season are now on sale. Contact a SaberCats' account executive at (408) 573-5577 to reserve your seats today. Individual game tickets can be purchased at the HP Pavilion ticket office, all Northern California Ticketmaster locations and on line at ticketmaster.com.
