Santorelli Rockets the Bruins to Victory

December 2, 2007 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Chilliwack Bruins News Release

CHILLIWACK, B.C. - Mark Santorelli capped off arguably his finest weekend of play in the WHL, netting 2 goals and adding one assist in the Bruins 3-1 win over the Kelowna Rockets. Santorelli scored the first two goals of the game, including the game winner, and added an assist on Oscar Moller's league leading 25th goal of the season. Matt Esposito won his 14th game of the season for the Bruins, which matches his career high set last season as a Bruin.

Santorelli finished the week with seven goals and two assists for nine points in three Bruins victories this weekend. The pride of Burnaby BC now leads the WHL in scoring with 16 goals and 38 assists for 54 points. His 54 points are nine points better than the next best scorer in the league, that being fellow Bruin Oscar Moller.

Colin Long added the lone marker for the Rockets and Kristopher Westblom took the loss for the Rockets, who remain just one point ahead of the Bruins in the BC Division.

Next action for the Bruins will be this Tuesday night, as they match up against BC Division Rivals, The Prince George Cougars. Game time is at 7 pm.
