Laredo Broncos News Release

August 11, 2008-Laredo, TX- The Laredo Broncos of the United League announce that starting Pitcher Santo Hernandez has been named the 2008 ULB Pitcher of the year.

Hernandez has pitched very well for the Broncos this year despite his 7-6 record. There were many games in which the outcome could have been different, if the ball bounced Laredo's way. Despite the tough luck, Hernandez has a 3.49 ERA which is the best in the league. Hernandez is also the league leader in strikeouts, with 122.

Santo Hernandez was brought in to lead the starting pitching rotation for the Broncos. Despite the fact that Laredo will fall short in their quest for a playoff birth, you can see that Hernandez has an affect on others from the staff. That is why he has been named the United League Baseball's 2008 Pitcher of the Year.

The Laredo Broncos finished there second season in 2007. The Broncos will play a 90 game season from May to September with 46 home games at Veterans Field. Season tickets and Sponsorship Packages are on sale in the Laredo Broncos office located at 2200 Santa Maria or you can contact us at the office at 723-BASE (2273) or on the web at www.laredobroncos.com.
