SANTA CRUZ, CA - The Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, have acquired a 2024 NBA G League first round draft pick from the Motor City Cruise in exchange for center Jayce Johnson.

In 15 NBA G League Showcase Cup games with Santa Cruz this season, Johnson averaged 6.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18.2 minutes per game. Originally selected by the Warriors with the 9th pick of Round 2 in the 2022 G League Draft, Johnson appeared in 26 career NBA G League Showcase Cup games, averaging 6.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 17.0 minutes per game. In 33 career regular season G League games (27 starts), Johnson owns averages of 9.1 points, 13.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.27 blocks in 25.7 minutes. He joined the Santa Cruz Warriors after a four-year collegiate career at both the University of Utah and Marquette.
