INDIANAPOLIS, IN-- The Indianapolis Ice announced today that goaltender Jeff Sanger has been reassigned to the club by the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League. Sanger is scheduled to rejoin his Ice teammates in time for Saturday night's game at Colorado.
Sanger, recalled to Norfolk on November 10, played one game for the Admirals as he stopped ten of 11 shots this past Saturday in Norfolk's game with division rival, Hershey.
For Indianapolis this season, Sanger has started seven games for the Icemen and has recorded a 4-3-0 record, 2.28 GAA, one shutout and a .914 save percentage.
The Ice is on the road for the next three games starting with Friday and Saturday night games in Loveland, CO against the expansion Colorado Eagles. Face-off is 9:00 p.m. on both nights. The team then heads to Albuquerque, N.M. for a 5:00 p.m. contest with the New Mexico Scorpions on Sunday. The Ice's next home game is Thanksgiving evening against the Oklahoma City Blazers at 7:00 p.m. from the Pepsi Coliseum.
