San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce to Hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Austin Turfcats

San Marcos, TX, Thursday, March 12, 2009 - The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony today for the Austin Turfcats, Central Texas' Indoor Arena Football team. Chamber Ambassadors, along with Turfcats' partners Ryan Patrick Perkins, sparkNet creative, and Debbie Ohlman, Austin Extreme Graphics, helped welcome Ronald Oswalt, VP/GM, and Chris Duliban, Head Coach/Defensive Coordinator, to the Chamber's family.
"As a 28 year resident of this area, I am glad that I have the opportunity to help bring this sport to this area" said Duliban. He continued, "Being centrally located gives us the opportunity to truly become a part of the surrounding communities by working closely with local organizations and offering an exciting and fun-filled evening out with the family for less than it costs to go to the movies."
The Turfcats' first game will be April 18, 2009 against the Acadiana Mudbugs at the Travis County Exposition Center in Austin, TX. Tickets start at $5.00/child and $8.00/adult.
