San Diego's Vander Weide Earns Final 2024 Weekly Honor

For the third time in the final five weeks of the season, the San Diego Mojo can boast a weekly award winner. After leading her team to three victories in just one week, Lindsey Vander Weide has been named the Pro Volleyball Federation Player of the Week presented by Franklin Sports .

Vander Weide kicked off the week at home against Columbus with 17 kills on 39 swings (.439) while adding eight digs to help the secure the final spot in the Pro Volleyball Federation Championship. She followed that with a dominating performance in Orlando, establishing PVF records with 30 kills and 32 points (30 kills, one block, 1 ace). The outside hitter also had 14 digs to register her sixth double-double of the season.

In the regular-season finale in Columbus, Vander Weide started the match, scoring four points on seven swings (.571) with one dig in one set played. For the week, Vander Weide had 51 kills on 104 swings (.490) and averaged 5.3 points. She had 23 digs, one block and one service ace.

The Pro Volleyball Federation Championship will take place this week at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. Tickets are on sale now and fans can purchase tickets for all sessions , the semifinals only or the championship match on Saturday.
