
San Diego Mojo Fall in Three Sets at Home to the Atlanta Vibe

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Mojo fell to the Atlanta Vibe in three sets, 25-17, 25-19, 25-13, on Wednesday night at Viejas Arena. The result dropped San Diego to 5-8 on the season, while the Vibe improved to a league-best 14-4.
Kendra Dahlke had a team-high of 13 points for San Diego, scoring on 11 of 32 swings for a 34 percent kill ratio and adding two blocks. Morgan Lewis scored nine points with one block, while Nootsara Tomkom paced the Mojo with 24 assists and Shara Venegas had a team-high 13 digs.
The Mojo scored the first two points to open the match and maintained the advantage through the first half of the set until the Vibe took their first lead at 14-13 after a Mojo blocking error. The Vibe took command of the set from there, closing out the frame with an 11-4 run to win, 25-17.
San Diego and Atlanta traded points throughout the early portion of set two with the Vibe building a three-point lead on multiple occasions only to see the Mojo climb back to even the score. Atlanta took control at 16-12 and slowly extended the lead, winning the set 25-19.
Atlanta built upon the momentum gained late in set two and directed the action throughout set three, taking an early 9-2 lead and stretching the advantage through the remainder of the match, taking the final set by a score of 25-13.
Next up, the Mojo travel to Ohio on Friday, April 12, 2024, to face the Columbus Fury. First serve inside Nationwide Arena is set for 4 p.m. PT and the game will air live on CBS Sports Network.
