San Diego Gulls to Participate in Read Across America at Four Local Elementary Schools

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today, in conjunction with the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD), that the American Hockey League (AHL) club will visit Angier Elementary School, Golden Hill K-8, Jerabek Elementary and Perkins Elementary School on Thursday, March 2 for Read Across America.

Gulls players and staff will participate in the National Education Association's (NEA) annual Read Across America to celebrate beloved children's author Dr. Seuss. Gulls players will read to students to motivate them to read and promote that reading is an important factor in student achievement and creating lifelong successful readers.

As part of the day, numerous Gulls players and staff will visit classrooms at Golden Hill K-8, Jerabek Elementary and Perkins Elementary from 1:30-2:30 p.m., and Angier Elementary from 2-3 p.m.
