
SAN DIEGO GULLS ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVE

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has assigned center Mitch Hults to the Utah Grizzlies, San Diego's primary affiliate in the ECHL.
Hults, 22 (11/13/94), collected 6-915 points with two penalty minutes (PIM) in 30 games with San Diego this season. The 6-2, 205-pound center has recorded 7-1219 points with two PIM in 36 career games with the Gulls. The Stoughton, Wisc. native also scored one goal (1-01) in two Calder Cup Playoff contests last season.
Signed to a two-year entry-level contract with the Anaheim Ducks on Mar. 20, 2017, Hults collected 20-3454 points with 98 PIM in two seasons (76 games) with Lake Superior State of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). Hults was named to the All-WCHA Second Team in 2016-17 after leading the conference in assists (23) and ranking third in points (34). Hults was also named WCHA Player of the Month for October after earning 4-711 points in six games.
