San Bernardino Joins 3,000 Club

San Bernardino, CA - Sunday night's game at Stockton meant a little more for Inland Empire than just finishing the first half of the season. It marked a significant milestone as the franchise played its 3,000th game since baseball returned to San Bernardino in 1987.

During the current 21-year run in San Bernardino, the city has won five California League Championships, three Most Valuable Player winners, tossed three no-hitters and once celebrated a perfect game. The franchise has a 1,495-1,505 all-time record through its first 3,000 games as the San Bernardino Spirit (1987-1995), San Bernardino Stampede (1996-2002), and Inland Empire 66ers (2003-Present)

Some notable Major Leaguers that have starred in San Bernardino include Ken Griffey Jr., Paul Konerko, Adrian Beltre, Mike Hampton, Ted Lilly, Felix Hernandez and Blake DeWitt.
