San Antonio Scorpions Announce 2015 NASL Spring Season Schedule

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Wednesday, December 17, 2014) - The San Antonio Scorpions have announced their 2015 NASL Spring Season schedule and will open defense of their NASL championship on Saturday, April 4, against the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Toyota Field.

"We are thrilled to announce our 2015 Spring Season schedule and we look forward to celebrating the title with our fans at home in the season opener against the Rowdies," said President/General Manager Howard Cornfield. "But after that, we'll have to be focused on 2015 and what I expect to be a very competitive race for the Spring Season championship and guaranteed playoff spot."

After the season opener, the Alamo City boys will have a bye week - each team will have one - and then will host Indy Eleven in their second match. San Antonio's first road trip will take them north to face 2014 Spring Season winners Minnesota United and then south to take on 2015 expansion team Jacksonville Armada FC.

The May 9th match against the Carolina RailHawks will be the lone home match for over a month as the Scorpions play four of five games away from Toyota Field. The May 30 game will be a highly anticipated Championship Final rematch against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and then a trip to Atlanta to face the Silverbacks precedes the Spring Season finale at home against the Ottawa Fury on June 13.

The 2015 NASL Fall Season schedule will be announced in early January. The complete Scorpions schedule is below (all kickoffs are Central Time).
