Cosmos 2015 Spring Schedule Announced

NEW YORK (December 17, 2014) - The North American Soccer League (NASL) and New York Cosmos today announced the 2015 Spring Season schedule. The Cosmos' 2015 home opener will take place on Saturday, April 18 against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

The Cosmos will begin the 2015 season on the road against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on Saturday, April 4 at Lockhart Stadium.

"We're excited about the additions we've made to the team in the offseason and are looking forward to the start of the season," Cosmos head coach Giovanni Savarese said. "With the spring schedule format, every game will be critical."

The Cosmos will play 10 matches during the 2015 Spring Season - five games at home and five games on the road, while taking on each team in the league once. The winner of the Spring Season, which will run through Saturday, June 13, will earn one of the top two seeds in The Championship, the league's four-team postseason tournament.

The Cosmos will close out the spring with their inaugural match against Jacksonville Armada FC at home on Saturday, June 13. The kickoff times for the 2015 Spring Season and the Fall Season and full promotional schedules will be announced at a later date.
