Quotes:

Head Coach Alen Marcina

(On the win...)

"I'm incredibly proud of the team mentality they demonstrated today. This week we had eight players out prior to the game. You have one of our players, one of our captains, Connor [Maloney] has to leave the day before the game - to attend, to be with his wife for the birth of his child. We have another starter, the day before the game get kicked - we had to completely change what we worked on during the week basically the day of the game. And the guys, I asked for specific tasks and every one of them executed with the right mentality and for that I'm proud. We earned and deserved the three points."

(On Oluwaseyi's winning goal...)

"We believe in all of our attackers, it was just a matter of time until we started putting the ball in the back of the net, and we had two great finishes. I think we were unfortunate not to get potentially two, three more in the back of the net. Clear-cut chances. We'll continue to build on this, a lot to grow and continue to improve on, but the mentality was first class tonight."

Defender Fabien Garcia

(On the win...)

"I think that's a great win away, that's not an easy place to play, to come and get the three points. All that matters are the three points. It was like four games where we were not winning you know, it's good for the confidence, for the strikers, that we keep building. I told them right now that the team was in pretty good shape and we're going to be focused on the next one. Let's be humble, have a great week and it's going to be a good fight in Charleston. Let's take the three points away."

(On serving as captain...)

"I just tried to make all the players better, tried to make them confident you know. We have some great players, they just need to show up right now. They showed up tonight, that's why we got the three points. Getting everyone on the same page, and we can see that we were fighting tonight. We just fought and one of my roles is to make sure everyone's on the same page, know the roles and responsibilities and I thought it was great tonight. I'm happy for the boys and we just focus on the next one now."

Forward Tani Oluwaseyi

(On his SAFC debut...)

"It was definitely a tough game, tough conditions with the pitch and the weather, but I think coming in we knew what we were going to face we knew what the conditions were going to be and so the preparation over the week really put us in a position to go out there and win the game, and that's exactly what we did."

(On his introduction to SAFC...)

"I think for me it's definitely been an adjustment. You know from Minnesota to Texas, the travel, new team, new teammates, things like that. But I think I came in with a focused mindset, I came here with one goal - to score goals and help the team win in any way that I can. So it felt really good to make my debut for San Antonio and grab my first goal, and hopefully can just keep things going."
