Quotes:

Head Coach Alen Marcina

(On the win...)

"I think they did fantastic. They earned and deserved the three points tonight, from start to finish. Did extremely well. Third game in eight days, with the amount of injuries we have ... we never made excuses, it's just our reality. And the way we performed, I'm super proud of the collective.

Midfielder Nicky Hernandez

(On what happened on his goal...)

"I'm going to tell you the real story. This morning, I received a text. From our

captain ... one of our leaders, Mitch[ell Taintor]. Unfortunately he didn't play, but he was still leading us. He texted me, he sent me a video. He's like, I think it was the Arsenal game. Arsenal against Leicester. Someone shot-crossed it. He's like 'dude, you should do this.' And I'm like 'bro, I'm going to score tonight and do that.' ... We have the receipts if y'all want them. We'll send the screenshots over ... He was like 'try it out man, if it goes in it goes in if it doesn't it doesn't.' So I credit Mitch on that like, I wouldn't have thought about it., I would've just crossed it in."

Goalkeeper Jordan Farr

(On a new defensive lineup tonight...)

"It helps to have a system that's so, it's all principle based. Every person that is signed for SAFC understands the principles that Alen tells us. So it's really just about plugging guys in and then finding form and really building off that form. ... But it's difficult when you haven't been playing. Jordy Delem hasn't been playing, it's Saad [Abdul-Salaam]'s first 90 minutes in like two years. Jasser [Khmiri's] getting back into the lineup. It was a weird night but this just shows how good our team is, this is a night that proves how good our collective is."
