San Antonio FC to Host C.D. Tapatío of Liga de Expansión MX on September 12 in Duelo de Campeones

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC will host C.D. Tapatío of the Liga de Expansión MX on September 12 in a Duelo de Campeones, the club announced today. The matchup will feature the reigning USL Championship Title Winners in SAFC, and the Campeón de Campeones Final Winners in Tapatío.

"We are thrilled to be able to welcome another title-winning side to Toyota Field," said director of Toyota Field Jose Lizardo. "It presents a great opportunity for fans to see the best of the USL Championship, and the best of the Liga de Expansión MX in a head-to-head Duelo de Campeones."

Tapatío is the official reserve team of C.D. Guadalajara, competing in Liga de Expansión MX - Mexico's second division. Tapatío won the Campeón de Campeones Final on June 3, winning 3-2 on aggregate after the final's two legs.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. CT match are already on sale for fans subscribed to the SAFC Fan Club, or that have downloaded the official SAFC app, as part of an exclusive presale opportunity. Tickets for the general public will be on sale today at 2:00 p.m. CT at SanAntonioFC.com.
