San Antonio FC News Release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Antonio FC drew 1-1 at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC tonight, moving to 13-5-11 on the season with 50 points. The point total is just one shy of Sacramento Republic FC for the top spot in the USL Championship Western Conference.
Neither team was able to break through until the 71st minute, when Jorge Hernandez dribbled through traffic in the box to find Santiago Patiño for the goal to make it 1-0.
Hernandez's assist was his ninth of the season, tying him for the most in a single season in San Antonio FC history, and moving him into sole possession of the league lead. Patiño's goal was his third of the season, after joining the team in August.
Colorado Springs would equalize in the 84th minute to make it a 1-1 final score.

Quotes:
Head Coach Alen Marcina
(On the draw...)
"Proud of the guys' efforts. For large portions of the game, we were the better team. We created some massive opportunities that we should've done a little bit better putting away. If we did, I think we're leaving here with three points. But a lot of positives, a lot of good things to take away from tonight, we'll take the draw and we look forward to now playing one game per week."
(On the team's recent form...)
"If you look at our last seven, eight games we've been the better team. We've outshot the opponent, home or away. A lot of positives, putting ourselves in good position obviously we've got to do a little bit better job being more clinical in front of goal, because the opportunities we're creating are massive. But a lot of positives to take away. And again, we had a lot of games in a short period of time, and now we're back to one a week and I'm confident in the group."
Midfielder Jorge Hernandez
(On the draw...)
"Just unlucky, we created more chances, we had opportunities, and at the end of the day we just didn't finish ... felt that we deserved to win but sometimes it happens."
(On moving into the league lead in assists...)
"We have a game system and my role is to stay in between the lines, and I feel like one of my best attributes is on the ball and I like to just stay in the lines and create chaos going forward, and it's a credit to my teammates for finishing the goals."
Forward Santiago Patiño
(On the draw...)
"We came here and fought, for 90 minutes, we wanted the three points, we got a draw. Now we recover and prepare for the next home match."
(On his goal ...)
"Jorge got the ball, he pulled a couple players with him, I stayed out to create space for myself, and he played me a great ball, and I shot it to goal."
