Quotes:

Head Coach Alen Marcina

(On the win...)

"We knew coming into Charleston, it was going to be a very difficult match. The leaders of the Eastern Conference. We know they were up for the occasion. They were in first place, are in first place, for a reason. So I challenged the guys from a mindset standpoint, to be mentality monsters, and if we were able to sustain that over the course of 90 minutes. And sure enough the guys rose to the occasion, earned the three points, and demonstrated the mentality that we need to have each and every game moving forward."

(On the offensive explosion after a slow scoring stretch...)

"First and foremost we believe in all our players. There's belief in the locker room, of themselves and of their teammates, and there should be. And we said you've got to continue to trust the process, continue to do the right things as our guys have been doing, and they got rewarded tonight."

(On keeping the momentum moving forward...)

"Again what we reinforced in the postgame talk was about the mentality we brought today. That everybody had. Everybody demonstrated the monster mentality, and we have to maintain that, keep improving from that aspect and only good things can happen from that."

(On Tani Oluwaseyi's night...)

"He had a tremendous performance, game-changing speed. Put away his chances, he was a constant threat with his vertical runs beyond the opponents last lines. It's what we ask of our strikers, and he executed the tasks as good as it gets. So I'm proud of him, and I'm proud of the collective."

Forward Tani Oluwaseyi

(On the win...)

"More than anything, to be honest, I think that we've had coming off of last week, we had a really intense week of training and you know there were some expectations of us tonight and the biggest thing was just working hard, committing, just leaving 110% out on the field and I think that's exactly what we did. Couldn't be happier for the guys, every single person who played tonight played their butts off. Put their hearts in every tackle, every pass, everything. So it was just incredible overall."

(On keeping the momentum moving forward...)

"I think it's one of those things where you've just got to take it day by day. The one thing Alen always says to us is that even if we're in training and we're missing shots and things like that, he always says it's not about not the quality - it's not that we don't have the quality it's just a matter of focus so I think today especially everybody was focused. When we were in front of the goal, we were focused we were aggressive, we really had the killer instinct going today and it paid off."

(On such a strong start with SAFC...)

"Oh man I think as a striker it's incredible to always get goals. That's what we're on the field for, ... that's our goal as part of the team. So you know, it was a good just to do whatever I could to get us over the line and that's everything I want to do. Sometimes it might not be goals, but when it's goals it feels a lot better."

Defender Mitchell Taintor

(On the win...)

"Unbelievable performance, amazing goals. First I want to give a shoutout to Nacho [Bailone], he's worked so incredibly hard all year and hasn't gotten the goals so today to see him get two was amazing. He's deserved it, he got the service and put it away I'm super proud of him, super happy for him. And another big shoutout to Azocar, he's been out for a while - he's been an unbelievable teammate and unbelievable player, and he was a huge reason why we won tonight so congratulations to him as well."

(On the team trusting the process...)

"First of all, I did an interview after the first Las Vegas game at home, and I told the reporters that when it rains it pours for the strikers. So it wasn't happening for them in the first part of the season, but it rained tonight and it damn well poured. So it'd obviously about being positive, we've had two back to back results now and it's about staying level headed, enjoy the night, enjoy the victory, Charleston's a great team so for us to put in that performance in against a good team like that is really good for morale."
