San Antonio FC Midfielder Victor Araujo Suffers Season-Ending Injury

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC midfielder Victor Araujo sustained a torn ACL and meniscus in his left knee in the second half of San Antonio's match vs. Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on June 18. Araujo will undergo surgery in the coming weeks and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

Araujo has appeared in 11 USL matches, starting three and playing a total of 382 minutes. The midfielder scored one goal and recorded an assist in USL play, while also appearing in three U.S. Open Cup matches, playing 162 minutes.

Araujo joined San Antonio FC prior to the start of the 2016 season. The Brazilian native attended Trinity University in San Antonio where he was an All-American midfielder.
