RGV FC Academy Hosts Soccer Clinic in Brownsville

Brownsville, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley FC Academy will be having a soccer clinic in Brownsville on Friday, June 24, the first soccer clinic outside the McAllen and Edinburg city area.
The soccer clinic is open to kids aged 4-16 and of every skill level. Rafael Amaya, Academy Director, will be directing the soccer clinic. The clinic will focus on technical skills tune-up and an introduction to goalkeeping. Start time for the clinic is 9:00 a.m. and check in is at 8:30a.m. Location for the clinic is at Brownsville Soccer Complex, at 1000 Sports Park Blvd, Olmito, Texas 78575. There is a $25 dollar fee to attend the clinic.
In addition to maximizing development, participants will also receive an official RGV FC clinic shirt, a certificate of participation, and a ticket to the Sunday, June 26 match between Rio Grande Valley FC Toros and Orange County Blues FC.
Rafael Amaya played professionally from 1989 to 1999, including playing with San Jose Clash and Colorado Rapids. Amaya holds eight different coaching licenses from the United States Soccer Federation and the Brazilian Football Confederation. Players coached by Rafael Amaya include, Roger Espinoza, Natt Borchers, James Riley, Mehdi Ballouchy, Tesho Akindele, Nicky Marshall, Michelle Winnino, Bri Campos, and Alex Godinez.
