San Antonio FC Acquires Jordan Ayimbila on Loan from Accra Lions FC

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC has acquired defender Jordan Ayimbila on loan for the 2022 season from Accra Lions FC of the Ghana Premier League pending league and federation approval, the club announced today. Per team policy, terms of the loan were not disclosed.

"We are pleased to add Jordan on loan from Accra Lions. He has just arrived in the country, and we are keen to get him acclimated to our Team Identity," said SAFC Head Coach Alen Marcina. "Jordan is a young versatile left-sided defender with exceptional athleticism, effective in one versus one dual with tremendous growth potential."

Originally from Ghana, the defender joins SAFC after spending the 2021 season in the Malaysia Premier League with Selangor FC. Ayimbila appeared in 24 matches with the club, assisting once, after starting with Selangor 2 before moving up to the first team.

Ayimbila joins the club just before the 2022 USL Championship season kicks off on Saturday, March 12, with SAFC hosting Detroit City FC at 7:30 p.m. CT. Tickets for the match are available at SanAntonioFC.com.
