
San Antonio FC Acquires Attacker Nathan Fogaça on Loan from Portland Timbers

SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 7, 2023) - San Antonio FC has acquired attacker Nathan Fogaça on loan from the Portland Timbers, pending league and federation approval, the team announced today. Per team policy, terms of the loan were not disclosed.
With SAFC in 2021, Fogaça matched the club's single-season goal record with 11 scores in the regular season. Fogaça scored twice in the postseason as well, as San Antonio advanced to the Western Conference Final for the first time in club history.
Since heading to Portland after the 2021 season, Fogaça has appeared in 27 MLS matches, starting nine. Fogaça tallied a brace in his MLS debut on May 14, 2022, and has scored once and assisted twice in 2023.
Fogaça made his professional debut at the age of 18 with Brazilian side Coritiba in 2018. The native of Palmeira, Brazil appeared in 40 matches over three seasons with Coritiba, including 12 in Campeonato Brasileiro SeÃÂrie A after the team was promoted in 2020.
San Antonio FC is on the road Saturday, taking on Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC in a rematch of last season's Western Conference Final. The match kicks off at 9:00 p.m. CT, and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
