
Salute to Sandlot Night, Get Fit Festival Highlight Homestand

FRISCO, Texas - The Frisco RoughRiders return home Saturday for a celebrity-filled, eight-game homestand at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
The action-packed week begins with a bang, as the Riders host Salute to Sandlot Night on Saturday, June 9. Chauncey Leopardi, the actor who played "Squints" in the classic film, will join the festivities and be available for a meet & greet. Additionally, the Riders will transform team dog Brooks into "The Beast", serve s'mores at concession stands and have a Wendy Peffercorn look-a-like on duty at the Choctaw Lazy River.
The next weekend is highlighted by a visit from celebrity fitness icon and trainer Paige Hathaway June 15-16 as part of Get Fit Festival. On Friday, June 15, Hathaway joins the Riders for their Get Fit Night game. She'll be available for a free public meet & greet in the Bull Moose Saloon from 8:00-9:30, throw out a ceremonial first pitch and participate in fitness-themed activities throughout the night. She'll also stick around Saturday, June 16 for a morning jam-packed with different workouts. From 9:00-noon, fans can join in on various classes and workouts, including an F45 program led by Hathaway, a Pure Barre workout an 9:00 a.m., an AquaFit workout in the Choctaw Lazy River and a Kids Healthy Fit Challenge. For just $20, fans can attend both the game on Friday and Get Fit Festival on Saturday.
In addition to the two celebrity visits, the homestand also features another Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ The Yard on Thursday, June 13, the second Bark in the Park of the year (Monday, June 11), Super Splash Day (Tuesday, June 12) and two post-game fireworks shows (Sunday, June 10 and Friday, June 15).

Saturday, June 9 vs. Midland (Athletics), 7:05 p.m.
* Salute to Sandlot Night: Chauncey Leopardi (Squints) visits Dr Pepper Ballpark as the Riders honor the classic film.
* Saturday Post-Game Party: Enjoy live music, with half-price drinks starting in the ninth inning at the Bull Moose Saloon.
* Kids Run The Bases: Youngsters get to traverse the diamond after the game.
Sunday, June 10 vs. Midland, 7:05 p.m.
* Kids Sunday Funday: Kids and their families can participate in a free pregame catch on the field from 6:00-6:30 and enjoy $1 ice cream sandwiches from all game long.
* Postgame fireworks, presented by Cinemark: Head down to the field after the game to watch a dazzling fireworks show.
* Riders on TV: Watch the game live on Fox Sports Southwest.
Monday, June 11 vs. Midland, 7:05 p.m.
* Bark in the Park, presented by Operation Kindness and Legacy Veterinary Hospital: Dogs get to join in on the fun and watch the game from the outfield berms. Plus, the first 500 pooches receive a free Riders dog leash.
* Kids Eat Free Monday: Kids 12 and under get a voucher for a FREE hot dog, chips and a Dr Pepper product or water.
* Kids Run The Bases: Young Riders fans get to circle the bags after the game.
Tuesday, June 12 vs. Midland, 12:05 p.m.
* Super Splash Day: Kids will have a blast and beat the heat with splash stations set up all over the ballpark.
* Taco Tuesday: Take advantage of $2 tacos all game long, plus select $3 beers and half-price margaritas from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Wednesday, June 13 vs. San Antonio (Padres), 7:05 p.m.
* Weiner Wednesday presented by Texas Chili Company: Feast on $1 hot dogs all night long.
* Kids Run The Bases: Youngsters can show off their speed on the bases after the game.
Thursday, June 14 vs. San Antonio, 7:05 p.m.
* Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ The Yard: Experience the BIGGEST part in North Texas! For just $10, enjoy access to $1 beers, a wide selection of food trucks, tailgate games, non-stop music and more (fans 21 & older only).
* Thirsty Thursday: Sip away on $1 domestic draft beers, $2 craft and import beers and $1 Dr Pepper products from 6-8 p.m.
* Kids Run The Bases: Kids get a chance to run the same bases as the Riders after the game.
* Riders on TV: Watch the game live on Fox Sports Southwest.
Friday, June 15 vs. San Antonio, 7:05 p.m.
* Get Fit Night, featuring Paige Hathaway: The Riders dedicate the night to personal health and well-being, and celebrity fitness icon and trainer Paige Hathaway will join the festivities.
* Get Fit Night Riders pedometer giveaway (first 1,500 fans)
* Fireworks Friday, presented by Medical City Frisco: Fans can watch a sparkling fireworks show from the field after the game.
Saturday, June 16 vs. San Antonio, 7:05 p.m.
* RoughRiders socks giveaway for dads (first 1,000 men 18 & older)
* Round the Bases Brew Tasting: Sample craft beers from Blue Moon, Henry's Hard Soda, Leinenkugel's, and Arnold Palmer Spiked to take home a FREE pint glass.
* Saturday Post-Game Party: Enjoy live music, with half-price drinks starting in the ninth inning at the Bull Moose Saloon.
* Boy Scouts Night: Boy Scouts from across the DFW area converge on Dr Pepper Ballpark for a fun-filled night, which concludes with a chance to camp out on the field after the game.
* Kids Run The Bases: Youngsters get to traverse the diamond after the game.
