Stories about Luis Salazar's accident in Spring Training, and his subsequent recovery, have been seen all over the country in recent weeks, from the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, to ESPN.com and the New York Times. On Sunday May 8th, before the Braves-Phillies Sunday Night Baseball game, an interview with Salazar will air on Baseball Tonight on ESPN.

The interview will be shown during the 7 p.m. hour on Baseball Tonight. The piece will be voiced by award-winning ESPN reporter Tom Rinaldi, who has been with the network since 2003. It will feature a sit-down interview in Lynchburg with Salazar. He will talk about his accident, and the recovery process, culminating in his return to managing the Hillcats. The interview was shot Tuesday April 19th at City Stadium, and will incorporate pre-game and in-game footage of Salazar doing what he loves, teaching baseball.
