San Angelo, TX – The San Angelo Saints of the Central Hockey League announced today that they have waived defenseman Gavin Hodgson from the team. "It was a tough decision to make", stated Ray Edwards, Head Coach of the Saints. "Gavin is a big part of the team and how we have done so far this season. I truly wish him the best in his career and look forward to being able to coach him again in the future."

In other news, the Saints announced that they have signed forward Jon Howse to contract. Howse, a 6-2 185 lb. center from Corner Brook, Newfoundland, comes to the Saints from Peterborough in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he has played for the last 5 seasons. "Jon has been very consistent in a great program in Peterborough that couple of years," said Edwards. "We are happy to have him on the team and look forward to great things from him."
