Saints Prepared to Defend the Diamond During July 12-17 Homestand
July 11, 2022 - International League (IL)
St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN - Not all heroes wear capes, but they all defend the baseball diamond. In the Saints World it's time to scream for ice cream. If you have a Bad Bunny, or even a good one, bring them out to the ballpark, but make sure you put them on a leash. It is nothing to die; it is dreadful not to live, so make plans to join the St. Paul Saints during their week-long homestand from July 12-17.
Tuesday, July 12 vs. Toledo Mud Hens (Detroit Tigers), 7:07 p.m. - National Ice Cream Month presented by Thelma's Ice Cream & Peanut Free Night
Nuts don't belong on ice cream, so this combination makes the perfect night. You won't need to scream or go nuts as we celebrate National Ice Cream Month, presented by Thelma's Ice Cream, and Peanut Free Night. Whether it's vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, rocky road, with sprinkles, whipped cream, or chocolate fudge we can all agree that Ice Cream day is the best day of the year. No nuts? Oh nuts! Pause. Now go nuts! It is Peanut Free Night at CHS Field. Everyone at the ballpark will have to walk one night in the shoes of those who live without Planters-like pleasures. Visit all the best places in the U.S. to get ice cream with our Sun Country Travel Tuesday.
Wednesday, July 13 vs. Toledo Mud Hens, 7:07 p.m. - SPIRE Night with The Friends of the St. Paul Public Library and Saving Cash Book Giveaway (1,500)
"It was the best of times; it was the worst of times." That could sum up the roller coaster ride of any baseball season. "Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will. To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield." The long days of a baseball season may make the body weary, but the mind must remain strong through 150 games to reach the ultimate goal. "Sometimes, I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Dare to dream, and dream big. Don't be afraid to think outside the box and that's what the Saints have been doing for 30-years. These classic literature quotes will come to life during SPIRE Night with the Friends of the St. Paul Public Library. Get your young ones started early on the meaning of money as the first 1,500 kids will receive the book Saving Cash. Find what places in the state have been influenced by literature on our Explore Minnesota Wednesday.
Thursday, July 14 vs. Toledo Mud Hens, 7:07 p.m. - Saints World! Piggy Time! Extra-Base Hit!
Party on Nerd. Party on Coach. There's a chance the Mud Hens might beat the Saints tonight. Yeah, and monkey's might fly out of our butts. All our fans are worthy to come out for this game as we celebrate Saints World! Piggy Time! Extra-Base Hit! If the thought of a boring evening makes you hurl fret not, tonight is going to be a bumpy ride (that's what she said). This game will make you feel funny, like when you used to climb the rope in gym class. What better way to "Schwing" than on a Thirsty Thursday featuring $2 beers and two-for-one Bud Light Seltzers.
Friday, July 15 vs. Toledo Mud Hens, 7:07 p.m. - Copa de la Diversión on a Friday Night Fireworks powered by Excel Energy featuring Latino Music
It's the second of three Copa de la Diversión night's as the Saints celebrate the state's Latino history. Copa de la Diversión or, "Fun Cup," is a season-long event series specifically designed to embrace the culture and values that resonate most with participating teams' local U.S. Hispanic/Latino communities. The Saints will become Santos de San Pablo and wear specialty uniforms with a unique new logo. The Saints primary logo is a combined inspiration of their mascot, Mudonna, and sugar skulls, traditional folk art from southern Mexico. The Saints will wear light blue jersey's with "Santos de San Pablo" across the chest. Want to get your hands on these amazing uniforms? Fans will bid on all of the Copa jersey's beginning just before the final set of games on August 14 via the livesource app. Following the game enjoy our Friday Night fireworks powered by Excel Energy with Latin music. Want your fix of Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro, and Karol G? Then be sure to stick around and get those hips moving to our musical choices.
Saturday, July 16 vs. Toledo Mud Hens, 7:07 p.m. - Marvel's Defender of the Diamond
Let's honor the Aesir God who is the protector of mankind and partly responsible for healing, fertility, and law and order. Bring out your hammer and shield because we're bringing the thunder, hopefully with our bats and not from the sky, with this promotion. It's the first of our Marvel Defender of the Diamond Nights. The Saints will wear specialty uniforms that will be auctioned off on the livesource app. The uniforms have shields going down the left and right side of the uniform like the armor Thor wears. The Saints script is written across the chest in gold coloring with gray sleeves and a Defender of the Diamond logo on the left sleeve. We will be in a gaming mood on this night and while the Mud Hens might be big, we've fought bigger. Fortunately, we are mighty. Check out are bulging muscles in our tropical shirts on a Treasure Island Saturday.
Sunday, July 17 vs. Toledo Mud Hens, 2:07 p.m. - Anything On a Leash presented by Chuck & Don's
Let's get creative. Last year a fan brought in a quiche on a leash. Kudos for originality and for the rhyming combo. Minnesotan's have gone to the State Fair and watched as parents stroll around with their kids on a leash. It's a summer tradition. What if we opened our gates and allowed you to bring anything you wanted on a leash? Guess we're going to find out with Anything On A Leash Night presented by Chuck & Don's. Bring your pets, whether it be a dog, cat, or even a koala bear, but this is a night for the truly bizarre and creative. Think outside the box with things like a can of soup, your water bottle, cell phone, or even a pink flamingo lawn ornament, all is fair game tonight. Following the game kids run the bases, preferably not on a leash, on our Cub Family Sunday.
We hit the halfway point of our home schedule during this homestand. There are still plenty of amazing games to take advantage of this summer and enjoy yourself before the cold temperatures roll in. The Saints are playing good baseball, so come on out and help us Defend our home field advantage during the July 12-17 homestand.
Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets begin at $5 for the Treasure Island berm seating, $6 bleacher seats, $15 for outfield reserved, $18 for drink rail, infield reserved, and home plate reserved. Friday home games with Post-Game Fireworks are an additional $2 per ticket. Post-Game Fireworks Supershows (September 4) are an additional $3 per ticket.
