
Saints Announce Schedule for Playoff Matchup with Rival Cedar Rapids

DUBUQUE, IA- One the USHL's best rivalries will add a new chapter beginning next week. With the USHL's regular season coming to a close this weekend, the Dubuque Fighting Saints have announced the schedule for the first round of the 2014 Clark Cup Playoffs. Dubuque will play its rival, the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, hosting Game 3 on Friday, April 18 at 7:35 p.m., and if necessary, Game 4 on Saturday, April 19 at 7:05 p.m. at the Mystique Community Ice Center. This is the first time the rivals have met in the post-season. Tickets are now available at DubuqueFightingSaints.com.
With the RoughRiders finishing second in the Eastern Conference, Cedar Rapids will have home ice advantage in the best-of-five playoff series with Dubuque. The series will begin in Cedar Rapids with Game 1 on Friday, April 11 at 7:05 p.m., and Game 2 on Saturday, April 12 at 7:05 p.m. at Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. After the series shifts to Dubuque, Cedar Rapids would host a potential Game 5 on Monday, April 21 at 7:05 p.m.
Game 3 in Dubuque will be presented by Dubuque Fire Equipment. The first 3,000 fans will receive a Fighting Saints playoff pom-pom. The game is also presented by media partner Xtreme 107. If necessary, Game 4 will be presented by media partner 97.7 WGLR and will be played the following evening, Saturday, April 19 at 7:05 p.m. in Dubuque.
Both Conference Semifinals home games feature an opportunity for fans to purchase the popular "Fun for 40!" ticket package. Starting at just $40, the package includes four Ice Box tickets, four chuck-a-pucks and two passes to the Fighting Saints Kids Zone.
Party Zones and Party Suites are available for both Conference Semifinals home games, and the Fighting Saints have special group ticket packages for the series starting at just ten people.
The Fighting Saints are asking Season Ticket Holders who have signed up for "Pay As We Play" to help pack the Mystique Community Ice Center for home games during the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Season Ticket Holders may use their season ticket discount to bring family and friends and receive great rewards. Fans who purchase ten additional tickets to home Eastern Conference Semifinal games will receive a Rivalry T-Shirt featuring the "Better Half" of the State of Iowa, and a #BeatCR playoff hashtag. Additional prizes will be awarded to Season Ticket Holders who bring 20, 50, or 100 additional family and friends.
Individual tickets to home games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals are now available by calling 563.583.6880 or by visiting DubuqueFightingSaints.com. Fans may purchase a "Pay As We Play," ticket package for the playoffs, guaranteeing seats in the location of their choice to all home games in the 2014 Clark Cup Playoffs. Full Season Tickets Holders and "Pay As We Play" ticket holders may pick up their Conference Semifinals tickets starting Monday, April 7.
The two Prairie Farms Cowbell Cup rivals played seven times during the regular season, with the Fighting Saints going 3-2-2 against Cedar Rapids. This is the first time the two teams have met in the post-season. The Fighting Saints are looking to become the first team in 20 years to win back-to-back Clark Cup Championships.
