Saginaw, Mich. - The Saginaw Spirit (24-17-2-0) face off against the Barrie Colts (24-13-4-2) Sunday, January 29, at the Dow Event Center.

Saginaw fell 8-2 to the Sarnia Sting Saturday, January 28, at the Dow Event Center. Matyas Sapovaliv scored his 14th goal of the season and Lincoln Moore added his fourth in the loss.
Barrie defeated the Flint Firebirds 6-4 Saturday, January 28, at the Dort Financial Center in Flint, Michigan. Brandt Clarke and Beau Jelsma each scored two goals in the win.
This Season:
This is the second of two scheduled meetings between the Colts and the Spirit. The
first game was on December 8 and resulted in a 5-2 Barrie win at Sadlon Arena. Ex-Colt Hunter Haight scored a goal and an assist against his former team. Tristan Lennox made 21 saves on 25 shots for Saginaw. Jacob Frasca scored one goal and earned three helpers for Barrie. Colts goaltender Anson Thornton made 45 saves on 47 shots.
Players to Watch:
Minnesota Wild prospect Hunter Haight has exploded offensively after arriving in Saginaw from Barrie. In 19 games with the Spirit, the center has nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points. Michael Misa leads Saginaw in points (47), goals (20), and is tied with Dean Loukus for assists (27). Goaltender Tristan Lennox's 3.26 goals against average (GAA) and .881 save percentage (SV%) are the best for Saginaw.
Beau Jelsma has a six-game point streak. In that span, he has four goals and six assists, including three points in yesterday's game against Flint. Evan Vierling leads Barrie in points (53) and assists (34). Ethan Cardwell has the most goals (23) for the Colts. Goaltender Anson Thornton's 3.35 GAA and .903 SV% are the best for Barrie goaltenders who have played two or more games.
Saginaw has three (3) players drafted into the National Hockey League (NHL), including Matyas Sapovaliv (Vegas), Tristan Lennox (New York Islanders), and Hunter Haight (Minnesota).
