Baseball is truly back.The Lexington County Blowfish announced Wednesday that players will be reporting on Monday, May 15th.
Unlike seasons prior, the team will have two weeks to train and practice together before Opening Night on July 1st.
"We are ready to begin practice for the 2020 season," Assistant General Manager Justin Hall stated. "A safe return to the field has been on the minds of these players since mid-March and I can't wait to hear the crack of the bat on June 15th."
The Blowfish are continuing to monitor local, state, and federal guidelines to implement safety protocols to ensure players are safe and healthy during the practices.
Just last night WIS TV covered the story of how the Blowfish are working to create the safety measures necessary to open the ballpark.
