Sacramento Republic FC Offers Alternative Transportation to Match

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 2, 2014) - Sacramento Republic FC encourages attendees of this weekend's soccer match on Saturday, May 3, to use alternative modes of transportation as the Fix 50 project enters its second stage.

The second stage of the Fix 50 project includes the closure of the 11th and 16th Street on-ramps as well as the connector ramps from eastbound Highway 50 to southbound Highway 99 and from eastbound Highway 50 to eastbound Business 80.

Republic FC partnered with the following transportation services to provide additional transit options for fans attending the match:

- Regional Transit will be adding additional evening light rail trips on the Blue and Gold Lines. Free light rail tickets will be distributed at Republic FC offices or at Concerts at the Park on Friday

- Free bike valet services presented by Sacramento Area Bike Advocates (SABA) will be available both on campus at Sacramento City College and Curtis Village parking lot. Bikers are encouraged to use Land Park Drive or 24th Street and avoid Freeport Blvd. A map is available at SacRepublicFC.com.

- Uber and taxi services will be available on campus by City College Station. First-time Uber users may receive $15 off their first two rides using the promo code SACREPUBLIC on uber.com/go/SACREPUBLIC.
