Wilmington Hammerheads FC News Release
Wilmington, NC - Wilmington Hammerheads FC will host the Rochester Rhinos on Saturday, May 3 as they continue to make headway into their 2014 USL PRO regular season. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Legion Stadium.
Following their home defeat versus the Charlotte Eagles last weekend, the Hammerheads are looking to bounce back in performance after concluding their undefeated streak that began their season.
"After last week's result against Charlotte, we are looking to pick up the pace," said Wilmington Hammerheads FC Head Coach David Irving. "It was a disappointing loss and there is no excuse. We are looking for a positive result versus Rochester."
The Rhinos are scheduled to take on the Richmond Kickers tonight at City Stadium before traveling to Wilmington. The Rhinos are coming off a 1-0 victory at home over the Charleston Battery after playing their first three matches of the USL PRO season on the road. Rochester is currently ranked fifth overall in the USL PRO league standings while the Hammerheads have dropped to eleventh.
