
Sacramento Monarchs Sign Chameka Scott to Seven-Day Contract

SACRAMENTO, CALIF., July 31, 2006 - The Sacramento Monarchs today signed guard Chameka Scott to a seven-day contract, Monarchs Head Coach and General Manager John Whisenant announced. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Monarchs signed Scott as a free agent earlier in the season on April 17. She appeared in two preseason games with the Monarchs playing seven minutes in the May 4 game versus the New York Liberty and playing five minutes in the May 9 game at Albuquerque versus the Connecticut Sun. Scott was placed on the Monarchs inactive list on May 20 and was then waived on June 29, 2006.
