SAN JOSE, Calif. (Jan 6, 2005) – The defending ArenaBowl champion San Jose SaberCats opened their 11th training camp today with roster players reporting to the team's practice facility. Camp runs through January 21 with roster cut downs taking place on January 22. The team begins defense of its title on Saturday, January 29 against the Storm in Tampa, Fla.

The first week of training camp will conclude with a scrimmage game against the Philadelphia Soul on Wednesday, January 12. The two clubs will hold a joint practice on Tuesday prior to the scrimmage.
