Ryan Nick Commits to Army

Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release


The Port Huron Fighting Falcons, proud members of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce the commitment of defenseman Ryan Nick to play next season at Division 1, Army (Atlantic Hockey).

Nick, a Plymouth, MI native is currently in his second year with the Falcons after being acquired early in the 2011-2012 season from the Traverse City North Stars. Nick is currently third on the team in scoring and is the top scoring defenseman on the team with 1 goal and 12 assists while being a +5 in 24 games.

Head Coach/GM Michael Gershon on Ryan Nick's commitment, "Ryan has worked extremely hard to get this commitment and I think that Army is going to be getting a great Cadet and someone that we know will work hard to achieve great results on the ice and in the classroom.

Nick becomes the second Fighting Falcon to commit to Army; Kyle Plageman is the other, as well as being the 5th player to commit to college this season for the Port Huron Fighting Falcons.

The Fighting Falcons are home this Sunday, November 25th at 2 PM as the Janesville Jets come to town. Sunday is Family 4 Pack Night, as you can receive 4 tickets, 4 hotdogs and 4 sodas for $30. Also the first 500 people in the door will receive a team photo sponsored by Precision Printing and don't forgot to bring your skates as we will be having our first skate with the players following the game.
