Portland Winterhawks News Release

The Portland Winterhawks announced today that Ryan Miley has been reassigned to the Surrey Eagles in the British Columbia Hockey League.

"We like the way Miley has progressed and as a young player, we need to give Ryan more playing time," Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Mike Johnston said. "I'm confident that [Surrey's Head Coach] Peter Schaefer will do a great job developing him."

The 18-year-old defenseman signed with Portland last season after playing in the NAPHL with the Sioux Falls Stampede. The Brookings, South Dakota native will remain on the team's protected list of players.

Pacific Office Automation home opening night is this Saturday, September 29th against the Seattle Thunderbirds at the Moda Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Be sure to purchase your tickets now by visiting www.winterhawks.com/tickets.
