Birmingham Magicians News Release
Indianapolis, IN -- The American Basketball Association (ABA) continued to name players to the East and West ABA All-Star teams for the game that will be played on Saturday, Feb 11 at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida.
"The teams are really shaping up," said Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "and all of the All-Stars are continuing to provide stellar performances night in and night out in exciting ABA games. Hopefully we'll have a lot of NBA scouts at the All-Star game; they'll be impressed as these players can help some of the NBA teams that are struggling." The players are:
East: Derrick Russell, a 6'10" center from the Birmingham Magicians.
West: Bernard McIntosh, a 6'7" forward from the Gallup Talons.
This brings to ten the players announced thus far. And all can be seen by visiting www.abalive.com/allstar
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
