ABA Names Two More All-Stars

February 2, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today named two additional players to the East and West All-Star teams that will compete at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on Saturday, February 11. According to Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "There will be a familiar name in the game - McGinnis - the nephew of one of the original great ABA players who went on to become an NBA All-Star, George McGinnis. Cedric is an outstanding player and hopefully will exhibit some of the same skills that made his uncle one of the true legends of the game." The players are:

East: Cedric McGinnis, a 6'9" forward from the Atlanta Vision. West: Jason Smith, a 6'5" forward from the San Jose Skyrockets.

"Jason is quite a player and has helped the Skyrockets to achieve a great record in the tough west coast divisions," added Newman. "Both the east and west are really loaded - and this will not be like an ordinary All-Star game. This is serious." For more information, visit www.abalive.com.
