RUSH STORYLINES & UPCOMING OPPONENTS:

Versus the Thunder - Tuesday will feature the third of eight games between the Rush and Thunder this season, and also the 35th all-time meeting. In the last matchup, the Rush came away with a 4-0 shutout win on November 10th, powered by 37 saves by Tim Boron. The Rush have an impressive 22-10-2 over four seasons, outscoring the Thunder 113-95 Konkle's Big Game - In Saturday's 5-3 win over the Bloomington Blaze, veteran forward Jarrett Konkle collected the first hat trick of the young season for the Rush, and the 11th such feat in team history. The last hat trick picked up by a Rush skater was February 3rd of last season by fellow veteran Scott Wray in a 5-2 win over Evansville.

IN THE COMMUNITY:

- Teddy Bear Toss - On Saturday, the Rush hosted their fifth-annual Teddy Bear Toss. Over 1,280 total stuffed animals were thrown on the ice and collected after Jarrett Konkle's first-period goal against the Bloomington Blaze. The event benefits Toys for Tots and all of the stuffed animals collected will stay in the Black Hills and go to providing less fortunate children a gift for the holidays.

- Gift Wrapping - The Rush took time out of their busy schedule on Sunday to wrap gifts for students from Canyon Lake Elementary. The gathering was hosted by Rush season ticket holders Linda and Ron Rydstrom and included all Rush players and their families. This is the second year that Rush players have used their gift wrapping skills in order to provide added holiday cheer to children in the Black Hills. All together, the team was able to wrap over 300 gifts to be distributed in the coming weeks.
