Chicago Rush News Release

Nearly 75,000 students will have the opportunity to earn complimentary tickets to 2004 Chicago Rush home games just by reading extra books, as the team's award-winning "Rush to Read" program kicks off its third year with a record 157 participating Chicagoland schools.

The program, which begins this month and runs through January 31, 2004, encourages third through eighth grade students to read one extra book per month for each of the program's four months. Students then are asked to write a one-page report about each book they have read. Any student who reads four books and writes four reports during the four-month period will receive a coupon redeemable for tickets to a 2004 Rush regular season home game.

"We are proud and excited about the record number of students and schools participating in this year's ‘Rush to Read' program," said Mike Polisky, Rush senior vice president/general manager. "The program has grown in popularity each year, with thousands of students discovering the joy and importance of reading while earning tickets to exciting Rush football games."

In support of the program, Rush coaches, players and staff again will visit selected schools to speak with the students and stress the importance of reading. The visits will begin in November and continue through the end of the program.

Training camp for next season will open in January 2004 with the regular season scheduled to begin the first weekend in February. Fans needing information about 2004 Rush season tickets beginning as low as $64 can call the Rush at (877) Rush-Tix (787-4849) or visit the team's Web site, www.chicagorush.com.
