Rush Team with 100 Club of Chicago to Recognize City's Police and Firefighters

CHICAGO, Illinois - The Chicago Rush is proud to be joining forces with the 100 Club of Chicago for Police and Firefighters Day on July 8th. The ChicagoRush take on the San Antonio Talons at 3 p.m. and throughout the game police and firefighters will be honored for their service to the community.
A portion of all tickets purchased by police and firefighters will be donated to the 100 Club of Chicago, a non-profit, charitable organization founded in 1966 for families of first responders who lose their lives in the line of duty. The 100 Club provides financial support to the families, as well as provides financial assistance for the college tuition of children who have lost a parent.
"The 100 Club is really excited to be partnering with the Chicago Rush for this great event where we're honoring policemen and firemen," stated 100 Club Executive Director, Joe Ahern. "It will be a great day out where we can honor these families as well as have a great time at the Allstate Arena."
The police and fire presence will go beyond the fans in the stands on July 8th. At halftime, the Chicago Police Department Football Enforcers will take on the Chicago Fire Department Football Blaze in a Tug of War battle.
Pregame ceremonies and in-game presentations will honor Chicago's Finest and fans can learn more about how to contribute to the 100 Club throughout the game.
"There's no doubt that the 100 Club will benefit from a partnership with the Rush. The Rush has a great following of fans that are really avid Rush fans and we're involved with police and firemen that love sports and their families, so I think the combination will make for a great event," said Ahern.
Being the first year of a partnership between the Rush and the 100 Club, both arededicated to seeing the charitable benefits grow into an annual event.
"It's great to honor all our first responders," stated Chicago Rush President and General Manager Roger Wexelberg, "The 100 Club has donated more than $8.6 million over the years to 244 families to get them back on their feet, so I'm excited about being able to help them out."
