Chicago Rush News Release
The Chicago Rush announced today that it has signed lineman Frank Moore to a two-year contract extension through the 2007 Arena Football League season.
Moore (6-2, 315, Pittsburgh) has started 43-consecutive games at center since signing with the Rush as a free agent prior to the 2003 season. During his time in Chicago, Moore has anchored an offensive line that has consistently ranked among the AFL's best, surrendering only 22 sacks in the past three seasons.
"If we have one guy we can count on to protect the quarterback, it is Frank," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "Dating back to when he played for me in New England (1999-2000), he always has been a pro and I know I can count on him week in and week out as the anchor of our line."
In addition to his stellar play on offense, the seven-year veteran has recorded 44.5 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 86 career games.
The Rush (7-4) takes its three-game winning streak on the road this week as it travels to Los Angeles for a Saturday, April 23, game against the Avengers (6-5) at Staples Center. The game will be broadcast in Chicago on Fox Sports Net beginning at 9:30 p.m. The Rush returns to Allstate Arena Sunday, May 1, to host the Las Vegas Gladiators. Kickoff is set for noon and fans wishing to purchase individual game tickets may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212, or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
