Chicago Rush News Release

Chicago Rush WR/LB Etu Molden was named AFL Offensive Player of the Week for his performance Sunday in Chicago's 75-51 win over the Colorado Crush, the Arena Football League announced today.

Molden enjoyed one of the best games of his AFL career Sunday, catching eight passes for 152 yards and five touchdowns, while tying the team record for receiving touchdowns in a game set by Antonio Chatman in 2002. Molden also added a sixth touchdown on a fourth-quarter return of an onside kick, setting a Rush team record for touchdowns and points scored (36) in a game. In his second season, Molden leads the Rush in receptions (74), receiving yards (924) and touchdowns (26) and ranks sixth in the AFL in scoring (156 points).

"Etu is very tough to defend because he knows how to get open," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "And if our line continues to give Raymond Philyaw time the way they did on Sunday, Etu will continue to find ways to get open."

The Rush (7-4) takes its three-game winning streak on the road this week as it travels to Los Angeles for a Saturday, April 23, game against the Avengers (6-5) at Staples Center. The game will be broadcast in Chicago on Fox Sports Net beginning at 9:30 p.m. The Rush returns to Allstate Arena Sunday, May 1, to host the Las Vegas Gladiators. Kickoff is set for noon and fans wishing to purchase individual game tickets may order by calling Ticketmaster at (312) 559-1212, or by visiting the Ticketmaster Web site at www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets also may be purchased in person at any Ticketmaster outlet or the Allstate Arena box office.
