Drew Rundle hit a grand slam home run in the fifth inning to break a 3-3 tie and Boise bullpen was stellar in the late innings, as the Hawks ended a two-game losing streak with a 7-4 victory over the Everett AquaSox before 2,327 fans at Everett Memorial Stadium.

After the Hawks squandered an early 3-0 lead, back-to-back two out walks from AquaSox starter Walter Surriel loaded the bases, with Rundle launching a pitch over the right field wall to give Boise the lead for good.

Mark Pawelek went three innings of relief to get the win, recovering from early wildness to notch the win - allowing just one hit. Michael Bunton worked two scoreless innings, with Jon Muller getting the final three out to pick up his second save.

Josh Vitters went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles for the Hawks - part of a season-high ten hit outburst. Boise could have had more, but stranded 14 men in the win.

Travis Howell went 2-for-3 with three runs scored in the loss for Everett.

Game 3 of the series is tomorrow night, with Doug Salinas going for the Frogs against the Hawks Jose Pina.
